In an interview with Roddie Aherne, Business Director for Ireland, he explains how, with large and small businesses across Ireland, and the globe, suffering the effects of the current financial turmoil, the need now is for much broader and more flexible outsourcing packages that don’t just stop at payroll but also include the related specialist HR and T&A services.

In this way, employees can for example apply for holidays, claim expenses, request overtime or look at company policies – all online and without impinging on manager’s time or HR/Finance department resources.
By providing such functionality over the web, it means there are no additional IT requirements or costs, it empowers staff and it can be accessed in real-time mode from anywhere – in the office, from a person’s home or on a trip abroad. Importantly, using solutions that are integrated, using a single database, also means that all records, both HR and payroll, are always kept in sync.
While the benefits are clear and tangible, the decision to outsource must be driven by the needs of the individual organisation. Every business is unique and the goal of every professional outsource provider must be to help customers ensure a best fit solution according to their particular circumstances.
